[Flynn noticeably relaxes and when he hears what Venti has to say, he further flushes and shakes his head.]

I don't want to bring up bad memories for him either. I can't imagine falling and nearly dying is something anyone would want to think about.

He's doing well here, and doesn't need the reminder of that.

This is just my guess . . . but the affirmation would mean much more to him than any discomfort from bringing up a bad memory. He's pretty durable that way.

Has Yuri told Flynn about Venti's offer, he wonders? He imagines not, since that would be -- complicated. Doesn't even assume it's still in the cards, with Flynn here now. But the offer he'd made then extends to Flynn as well, it always has, and the least he can do is answer a question that simple. ]

It's beautiful. Not perfect, and not always peaceful -- as with any world, I think.

But there's not a day that goes by that I don't miss it.

That's the same way I feel about our world as well. It's not perfect, but it's home.

[He looks at Venti and hums turning away from him.]

Also, this world seems to be an okay stop by. I don't mind giving myself to work here for a little while, so long as I get to stay with the people that matter most.
